The Buffalo Bills are prime candidates to move around in the 2024 NFL Draft for many reasons, whether that's moving up or down.

On the one hand, the team has a desperate need for wide receiver help, which could force their hand to move up a few spots to secure their favorite prospect. On the other, they might be going into a serious rebuild year, which could translate to them seeking more and more picks in this year's process.

In a recent article I put together listing three first-round trade ideas for the Dallas Cowboys, the Bills came up as the realistic trade partner they could be working with very soon.

Trade proposal with the Cowboys: Moving up to 24th overall

This is what it would look like: The Cowboys would move down to 28th while acquiring the Bills' first and fourth rounders. Per the Rich Hill trade chart, it'd be a slight win for the Bills in terms of value:

Cowboys get: 28th overall (1st round)
Bills get: 24th overall (1st), 128th (4th)

The Cowboys don't have a fourth rounder after acquiring QB Trey Lance from the San Francisco 49ers last year. You and I both know they value their picks so much that I wouldn't be surprised if getting back a pick is a priority for them this year.

In this scenario, they get a fourth back as the Buffalo Bills try to jump up to secure their preferred wide receiver over teams like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Green Bay Packers, among others.

Would it make sense for the Bills?

It would, especially if the team is seeking a wide receiver. Although a run at wide receivers could very well happen toward the end of the first round, the truth is they're all quite different in styles.

Picking an undersized speedster like Xavier Worthy (Texas) wouldn't be the same than going with supersized prospects like Brian Thomas Jr. (LSU) or Adonai Mitchell (Texas).  If there's somebody the Bills really like, they owe it to Josh Allen to secure him after losing Gabe Davis and Stefon Diggs earlier in the offseason.
