The New York Jets got some great news on the injury front leading up to tonight’s game, one that is essentially a playoff game.

New York Jets will have Quinnen Williams for pivotal Week 16 game:

Star defensive tackle, and probable Jets team MVP, Quinnen Williams, will be active for tonight’s matchup with the surging Jacksonville Jaguars. Williams, unfortunately, had to miss last week’s game with a calf.

He has been nothing short of an elite difference-maker for the Jets all year. Williams has picked up 11 sacks. The Jets will desperately need him in the trenches tonight, both stopping the run and applying pressure on the quarterback.

In other injury news, Zonovan “Bam” Knight will also be good to go for tonight. He had an ankle injury that had him listed as questionable. However, Knight was a full participant in yesterday’s practice.

Also returning for this one is wide receiver Corey Davis who missed last week with a concussion. This is key for the Jets, who are hurting at wide receiver right now with both Denzel Mims and Jeff Smith out.

With Smith and also Brandin Echols still out, it will be worth noting who the other gunner is on special teams punt coverage opposite of Pro Bowler, Justin Hardee.

New York Jets promote Chris Streveler and Will Parks from practice squad:

In somewhat fascinating news, the Jets elevated well-known practice squad signal-caller, Chris Streveler. Also, once again, safety Will Parks was promoted to the 53 for gameday as well. If Lamarcus Joyner does not play for the second-straight game, Parks will likely once again start for the Jets at safety.

Going into this key game, the Jets have their best player in Williams. Also, two core skill positions players for Zach Wilson in Knight and Davis are there at his disposal. The Jets have no excuses and need to find a way to win tonight.
