The 2020 regular season was another failure for the Las Vegas Raiders as a whole. However, they did have some great moments and bright spots. Third-and-Renfrow, as he’s affectionately known, is a very dependable outlet on third downs. Because one nickname isn’t enough, we would like to suggest another one, the Hunter Renshow.

Raiders Renfrow is not a typical looking receiver. He doesn’t look like D.K. Metcalf of the Seattle Seahawks nor is he as fast as Tyreek Hill of the Kansas City Chiefs. Nevertheless, he’s very consistent and has no wasted motion which is a plus. His stats this past year were not mind-blowing but again, he was consistent. He hauled in 56 catches for 656 yards and two touchdowns. Of those 56 receptions, 32 went for first downs and he had 338 yards after the catch. He also became the team’s punt returner in 2020. He had 23 returns for 265 yards and a 32-yard one against Miami.

Hunter Renfrow stepped up when the Raiders needed him the most

Renfrow didn’t post big numbers this season but he stepped up when it mattered the most. Against the Chiefs in Week 5, he found an opening on the defense and got free for a 42-yard reception that helped the Raiders pull a win. In Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers, he was able to maneuver and get behind the defense for a 53-yard pass to help set up a touchdown on the drive. Renfrow is a constant player on the team that will more than likely produce when needed.

‘Third-and-Renfrow’ has become a fan favorite for his nonsense play, he just shows up and does his job. He doesn’t look menacing but produces and has respect around the league because many players know what he can do. If nothing else he has also taken many ankles this season as his movement is so smooth that he is able to juke many defenders. Hunter ‘Renshow’ Renfrow is a fan favorite of Raider Nation and a key contributor for the Silver and Black. Don’t be surprised if he gets near a 1,000-yard season in 2021.
