Raiders guard Richie Incognito had season-ending foot surgery

Las Vegas Raiders left guard Richie Incognito, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, won't play again this season. 

As Paul Gutierrez of ESPN explained, Raiders coach Jon Gruden confirmed when speaking with reporters on Monday that Incognito recently underwent "season-ending foot surgery" to repair what was previously called an Achilles injury that the 37-year-old suffered in the win over the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 21. 

"I hate to admit that, but we've tried everything we can," Gruden explained. "Richie's tried everything he can to get back on the field. His season is over."

The Raiders fell to 6-4 on the campaign following a heartbreaking 35-31 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. 

Per Gutierrez, Denzelle Good has impressed up front serving as Incognito's replacement and should be the starter at the position moving forward as long as he's healthy. 

Derek Carr recently lauded Good as the team's most valuable player and a big reason why the quarterback is currently fourth in the NFL in total QBR (79.1) and fifth in passer rating (108.7) ahead of the "Monday Night Football" showdown between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams, according to ESPN stats.
