Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers gave Raider Nation a promising debut when he tallied 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns against the Denver Broncos in Week 1.

As a poetic bookend to his first season with the Silver and Black, Meyers reminded the Raider faithful -- and Denver -- what his best looked like when he scored two touchdowns the only other time this season in Las Vegas' 27-14 victory win over the Broncos on Sunday.

Meyers was the game's first player to find the end zone in the season finale, scoring on a 5-yard rushing touchdown with less than two minutes to go in the first quarter. It was just his second rushing touchdown of his career. The first came in the Raiders' Week 9 win over the New York Giants.

Later in the contest, when the game was still within reach for the visitors, Meyers helped his team capitalize on Denver's turnover on downs with a 33-yard touchdown reception that would put the Raiders up by three possessions. The Broncos answered with a touchdown of their own, but it was too little, too late, as Las Vegas used up a hefty amount of clock for one last field goal.

Meyers ultimately finished the game with 61 receiving yards on three receptions and five rushing yards.

After totaling eight touchdowns in his four seasons with the New England Patriots, Meyers has already recorded eight receiving touchdowns, two rushing touchdowns, and one passing touchdown in one season with the Raiders.

The veteran wide receiver concludes his 2023-24 campaign with 807 receiving yards and 19 rushing yards. It was the third season in a row Meyers has posted at least 800 receiving yards.

What a first season it was for Meyers, who remained the same threat he was in New England despite sharing the load with a very talented receiving room.

February 27-March 4, 2024, is the NFL Scouting Combine, held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
