Sieg signed a three-year extension with the Silver and Black in 2021.

The release comes only two days after the club signed long snapper Jacob Bobenmoyer, former member of the Denver Broncos.

Bobenmoyer was with Denver for three seasons, having played 46 games. He registered 11 tackles and a fumble recovery in those three seasons.

The young long snapper entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2020 as a product of Northern Colorado.

Bobenmoyer was named fourth team All-American by Phil Steele Publications his senior year.
