Raiders QB Derek Carr 'good to go' after ankle scare

The Las Vegas Raiders became one of the pleasant surprises of the opening two weeks of the NFL season by notching back-to-back wins, thanks largely to the play of quarterback Derek Carr. However, Carr came off this past Sunday's victory at the Pittsburgh Steelers carrying an ankle injury and was initially listed as "questionable" for this coming Sunday's matchup versus the Miami Dolphins.

It appears Raiders fans have nothing to worry about, as Carr was a full participant in Wednesday's practice and has been labeled "good to go" by head coach Jon Gruden, per Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

According to ESPN stats, Carr leads the NFL with 817 passing yards across his two wins this season, and he's matched four touchdowns with just one interception. He has thus far completed 66.7% (62-of-93) of his pass attempts.

Miami, meanwhile, is 1-1 after falling to the Buffalo Bills 35-0 in Week 2. Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has already been ruled out versus the Raiders with fractured ribs, so veteran backup Jacoby Brissett will get the start in Tagovailoa's place.

Tagovailoa's status past this Sunday likely won't be determined until some point next week.
