Raiders QB Derek Carr: 'We feel crappy' after entering 0-2 hole

The Las Vegas Raiders lost Sunday's home opener to the Arizona Cardinals in overtime, 29-23. Following a dominant first half, Las Vegas had a historic meltdown.

After being up 20-0, the Raiders blew their largest halftime lead in the Super Bowl era, and the Cardinals completed their largest comeback of the same parameters, according to The Athletic

Not only did Las Vegas lose, but it quite literally fumbled the game away.

The loss sent the Raiders to 0-2 and could he a troubling sign for their playoff chances. History says 77.8 percent of 0-2 teams do not finish a season with a winning record, and since Seattle and Houston did it in 2018, no team has made the playoffs after falling to 0-2.

Quarterback Derek Carr expressed his thoughts following the embarrassment.

Carr finished the game 25-of-39 with two touchdowns on 252 yards passing. However, only 42 of his throwing yards came in the second half. The decline in production is troubling, but this was a team flop considering the Raiders allowed Arizona to go on a 29-3 run from the third quarter to the fumble-six in overtime.

This is the Raiders' third 0-2 start of the Carr era (2014, 2018).

Las Vegas is last in the division and the only winless team in the AFC West.

The Raiders Week 3 matchup with the Titans now appears to be a do-or-die game.
