It wasn't long ago that Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow was considered to be the best slot receiver in the National Football League.

That goes to show how much can change in only a few NFL seasons, as Renfrow finished sixth on the Raiders with only 25 receptions this season, two years after reaching 100-plus catches.

In that same season, Renfrow led the Silver and Black in with 1,038 receiving yards and his 103 receptions earned him third place all-time in franchise history in single-season catches. Wide receiver Davante Adams tied that mark this season.

Renfrow would be named to his first-career Pro Bowl in what was his third NFL season.

In June of 2022, the Raiders signed Renfrow to a two-year, $32.329-million contract, only months after the club acquired Adams. Las Vegas had also just recently dealt hefty extensions to former franchise quarterback Derek Carr and edge rusher Maxx Crosby.

Only two games into the 2022 season, Renfrow went down due to an oblique injury against the Arizona Cardinals. He would miss seven games with the injury and ended up with only 330 receiving yards and two touchdowns for the season.

Las Vegas would sign free-agent wide receiver Jakobi Meyers the following offseason, which left questions as to whether Renfrow's role would continue to be diminished in 2023.

That was the case for about the first half of the 2023 season, as Renfrow had had only 10 catches through the first eight weeks of the season. After much speculation about the former Pro Bowler being on the trade block, Renfrow remained on the roster by the trade deadline.

Renfrow's contribution began to increase when Interim Coach Antonio Pierce took over, as the former fifth-round pick registered 163 yards on 15 receptions in the Raiders' next five games.

The production wouldn't last all the way through the end of the season, though. In the Raiders' last four games, Renfrow was targeted only three times and did not record a single reception.

With one year remaining on his contract, it would not be at all surprising if Renfrow's name is mentioned in trade talks this offseason.

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
