Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Adam Butler is one of the several former New England Patriots who have experience in the Super Bowl.

In his rookie season, Butler, an undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt, made six starts for the Patriots, while playing in all 16 games.

He totaled 19 combined tackles, two for losses, and two sacks.

Butler would play in all three of the Patriots' postseason games that year.

In the Divisional Round against the Tennessee Titans, he posted a sack in the 35-14 victory, taking the field for 26 defensive snaps.

Butler would record another sack the following week against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Championship.

He played just 13 defensive snaps and six special teams snaps in Super Bowl LII against the Philadelphia Eagles, yet still contributed with a tackle for loss in New England's loss.

The next season, Butler did not make a start but still played in all 16 contests, finishing his second campaign with 17 combined tackles, four for losses, and three sacks.

Yet again, he would play in all three of the Patriots' playoff games.

Butler was on the field for 52 defensive snaps in the Divisional Round matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, finishing with one tackle and one quarterback hit.

He would play 23 defensive snaps the next week in the AFC Championship when New England took care of the Kansas City Chiefs, 37-31. He recorded another quarterback hit.

Butler then saw the field for 26 plays on defense in Super Bowl LIII, and the Patriots would go on to win their sixth title in franchise history, defeating the Los Angeles Rams, 13-3.

The next season would be Butler's last in New England before he was signed by the Miami Dolphins the following March. He made one start in his 17 games in Miami, having tallied 17 combined tackles, two for losses, two sacks, and three passes defensed.

The veteran defensive tackle was signed by the Raiders to a reserve/future contract back in January.
