Rams assistant head coach Thomas Brown interviews for Vikings OC post

The Los Angeles Rams are celebrating their Super Bowl LVI victory with a parade on Wednesday, but one of head coach Sean McVay's lead assistants could be in his final days with the organization.

Brown played college football at Georgia and then was picked by the Atlanta Falcons in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He was placed on injured reserve during the preseason, though, and was waived ahead of the 2009 season.

He signed onto the Cleveland Browns practice squad in November of that year and was promoted to the active roster in January, but didn't appear in any games. He was released in June 2010 and his playing career ended shortly thereafter.

The former running back first became a coach with the Bulldogs as their strength and conditioning coach in 2011, before he joined Chattanooga as their running backs coach in 2012. Brown then spent the 2013 to 2015 campaigns with three different schools as their running backs coach, first landing with Marshall, then moving to Wisconsin, and then going back to work with Georgia.

From 2016-18, Brown served as Miami's offensive coordinator and running backs coach, and then he held the role of running backs coach with South Carolina in 2019. Brown was hired as the Rams running backs coach in February 2020, and then received the additional title of assistant head coach in February 2021.
