Rams 'collecting more information' after Aaron Donald accused of assault
The Los Angeles Rams have acknowledged that they know about the assault allegations against star defensive tackle Aaron Donald, saying that they are still gathering more information.
"We are aware of the reports regarding Aaron Donald," the Rams said in a statement. "We are collecting more information and will have no further comment at this time."
An attorney representing De Vincent Spriggs says Donald assaulted his client between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. on April 11. Spriggs was left with a swollen eye and cuts on his face and intends to file criminal charges against Donald.
The alleged assault occurred in Pittsburgh, where Donald grew up and played college football. He hasn't commented on the matter.
