Rams DT Aaron Donald (ribs) 'healthy' ahead of playoff clash at Green Bay

Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald, a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, wants everyone to know that the rib injury he suffered in last Saturday's victory over the Seattle Seahawks won't be bothering him heading into this Saturday's must-win game at the Green Bay Packers.

"Feel good, feel real good," Donald told reporters on Wednesday, per Lindsey Thiry of ESPN. "No pain, feel healthy."

He even joked with media members following additional questions about his health.

"Man, my damn side is just sore. I'm good, though," Donald said while smiling. "I ain't gonna sit here and talk about my damn side the whole time. I'm good. I just had a whole workout, feel strong, feel healthy, so I'm good."

The 29-year-old was sidelined in the third quarter of the Seattle game but admitted that he could've ended the contest on the field had the Rams not taken a 17-point lead with under five minutes remaining. Donald is resting during practice sessions this week to ensure he's as healthy as possible by Saturday afternoon.

Donald finished the regular season tied for second in the NFL with 13.5 sacks but may have to produce his best outing of the campaign at Lambeau Field. Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers will enter that matchup the uncrowned MVP who led the league in touchdown passes (48), completion percentage (70.7%), passer rating (121.5), and total QBR (84.3).
