Rams looking to deal veteran wideout Allen Robinson II

This offseason will likely be one of change for the Los Angeles Rams as they look to rebound from a disastrous defense of their Super Bowl title.

While Jalen Ramsey's name has garnered most of the attention, another veteran could be on their way out of L.A..

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Rams could move one-time Pro Bowler, wideout Allen Robinson II to clear cap space.

"His career-low 52 targets last season could prompt a desire for change, and the Rams are clearly shedding salary," Fowler wrote. "With a weak free agent receiver class, Robinson's $15.75M in 2023 cash flow could be a reasonable clip for a new team."

Robinson has two seasons remaining on a three-year, $46.5M contract inked with the Rams ahead of the 2022 campaign. Trading Robinson before June 1 would net the Rams $6.85M in cap space.

However, Robinson's deal comes with an $18.0M cap hit over the next two seasons, which might be too hard a pill to swallow for a receiver-needy team.

A foot injury requiring season-ending surgery cut Robinson's 2022 campaign to only 10 games.

Robinson was largely ineffective during his first season in L.A. The 30-year-old started 10 games for the Rams, recording 33 catches for 339 yards and three touchdowns.

If healthy, Robinson could boost a team desperate for offensive weapons, but his recent track record isn't promising. His numbers have taken a steady dive, especially over the last two seasons.

Since his incredible 2020 season (102 catches, 1,250 yards, six touchdowns) with the Chicago Bears, Robinson has notched only 71 receptions for 749 yards and four touchdowns in 22 games over the past two seasons.
