Rams' Michael Brockers 'crossing fingers' Seahawks trade Russell Wilson

On Friday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune suggested that Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Pace could prioritize putting together a package to trade for unsettled Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Michael Brockers told NFL Network's "Good Morning Football" on Monday he'd be in favor of such a transaction.

"You cross your fingers a little bit," Brockers said of the trade rumors involving Wilson, per Kevin Patra of the NFL's official website. "You hope whatever you hear is true, and he's out of here, so you don't have to chase him around twice a year. For the most part, he's a phenomenal player, but if he chooses to leave and leave the division and make it a bit little easier for us, man, to each his own."

The 32-year-old one-time Super Bowl champion signal-caller has a full no-trade clause attached to his contract, and the Seahawks reportedly want three first-round draft picks included with other assets in a deal for Wilson's services. The math combined with football logic all suggest the Seahawks will do whatever possible to mend the relationship with the greatest quarterback in franchise history, but there are good reasons this time of the football year is often referred to as the "silly season."
