Rams practicing silent count in anticipation of Cowboys fans taking over SoFi Stadium

The 2-2 Los Angeles Rams expect the incoming 3-1 Dallas Cowboys to have an "America's Team" type of home-field advantage for Sunday's game in L.A.'s SoFi Stadium. 

Per Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk, Rams head coach Sean McVay confirmed on Friday that the Los Angeles offense has practiced silent counts and also worked through crowd noise setbacks related to the number of Cowboys fans expected to attend Sunday's encounter. The Rams played loud music during midweek sessions to help quarterback Matthew Stafford and others better prepare for what they'll experience in what will largely be a home game in name and climate only. 

Gary Klein noted for the Los Angeles Times (h/t Yahoo Sports) last month that such issues are nothing new for McVay and company. San Francisco 49ers fans created a noisy atmosphere when they flocked to SoFi Stadium last season, as did supporters of the Buffalo Bills for Buffalo's Week 1 31-10 win over the Rams in September. 

"We prepared for it," Stafford admitted about the "Bills Mafia" invasion after the loss to Buffalo, according to Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports. "We were prepared to be on the silent count at home again, but it wasn't something that we haven't done before."

Perhaps the Rams won't have to worry about the noise when they host the lowly Carolina Panthers on Oct. 16.
