Ravens All-Pro CB makes bold prediction about offense

The Ravens have had an offseason to remember, signing QB Lamar Jackson to a record-breaking deal and giving him the best weapons he's had since entering the league. It has one of Baltimore's best defenders putting the NFL on notice.

"I see us having at least two 1,000-yard receivers this year," All-Pro CB Marlon Humphrey told reporters. "So, whatever two guys that will be, I'm excited for."

It may not seem like a difficult feat for the Ravens offense to reach but the franchise has only ever had one season with two 1,000-yard receivers.

That was in 1996 when wide receivers Michael Jackson (1,201) and Derrick Alexander (1,099) did it. Following the 1996 season, Baltimore has only had 11 seasons with one 1,000-yard receiver.

However, the Ravens could certainly do it for the second time in 2023 after adding wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr., Zay Flowers and Nelson Agholor to the room.

Following Baltimore's busy offseason, Jackson even said, "I want to throw for like 6,000 yards with the weapons we have."

It's very doubtful that will happen as the single season passing yards leader is QB Peyton Manning when he threw for 5,477 yards in 2013. But there's no doubt the 2019 NFL MVP is set up to have his best season yet.

There are still some questions surrounding the Ravens' new-look group as WR Rashod Bateman has dealt with his fair share of injuries, Beckham Jr. hasn't played since tearing his ACL in Super Bowl LVI and Flowers, who has although received much praise thus far, is only a rookie.

But don't be surprised if Baltimore boasts one of the top offenses in the league come season's end.
