Ravens CB Chris Westry to miss at least one month with torn meniscus

The Baltimore Ravens' injury woes continue to worsen.

Backup cornerback Chris Westry is expected to miss at least one month with a torn meniscus, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. If the 24-year-old is placed on injured reserve, he would become the 15th player to go on IR this year for Baltimore and the ninth player in the last 24 days.

Westry played 33 snaps in Monday's season-opening loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Ravens are already thin at cornerback after losing Pro Bowler Marcus Peters to a season-ending knee injury last week. The active cornerbacks on the roster are Marlon Humphrey, Anthony Averett, Jimmy Smith and Tavon Young.

Baltimore worked out several cornerbacks earlier this week, including Buster Skrine. According to Fowler, the Ravens are looking to add the veteran to the 53-man roster. However, it's unclear if he will be ready in time to face the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend.

The Ravens could also be without left tackle Ronnie Stanley, wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown and defensive end Derek Wolfe this weekend.

Baltimore is looking to avoid its first 0-2 start since 2015.
