Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey added an interesting food to his diet while injured

Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey has a reputation of creating and participating in controversies. His latest may make your stomach churn.

"I hit up the Liver King when I got hurt," Humphrey told reporters. "This offseason, when I was trying to get back from injury, I went and got some raw liver. It tasted gross I'm not going to lie."

The Liver King is a self-proclaimed name by TikTok star Brian Johnson. He has amassed millions of followers by posting videos of himself eating an assortment of raw meats.

Humphrey wanted to try some himself to see if it would help his recovery.

"I just tried to take some and chug it with water. Obviously, I don't look completely jacked. So, maybe it did not work," Humphrey said.

The sixth-year cornerback understands he took it "a little extreme," but stated, "I wanted to be Liver King."

To his credit, he did eat both cooked and raw liver. But did he like either?

"Raw is just tough," Humphrey added. "I just tried to swallow it whole. Cooked I tried to chew, but then it just gets pasty."

The 26-year old CB acknowledged it's not for everyone, or most for that matter.

"I don't recommend," Humphrey finished. "It's not good."

Humphrey is putting together a solid 2022 season posting 56 tackles, three sacks, three interceptions, and six passes defensed. The raw liver didn't make him jacked, but maybe it has helped his play a little bit.
