As Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey prepares to make his return to the field against the Los Angeles Rams, defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald praised the defensive back's talent.

"You guys know Marlon and Marlon at his best is as good as they come," Macdonald said. "I'm glad that he's feeling better and he's trying to get up to speed but he looks good right now for sure."

Humphrey has missed time at multiple points this season due to separate injuries. Most recently, he missed two games due to a calf injury that he suffered in Week 10 against the Cleveland Browns. He also missed the first four games of the season due to a foot injury.

The 27-year-old cornerback provides the Ravens' defense with reinforcement heading into the last stretch of the season. Humphrey has been one of the best players in Baltimore since he was drafted in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Over seven seasons with the Ravens, he has recorded 361 tackles, 72 passes defended, 13 forced fumbles and 12 interceptions. He has been named to the Pro Bowl three times and First Team All-Pro once in 2019.

This season, he has only played in six games, tallying 14 tackles, one pass defended and one tackle for loss. While he hasn't been putting up the statistical output that he normally does, his presence in the secondary is beneficial to the team's Super Bowl hopes

Baltimore and Humphrey will return to action after the bye week to host the Rams on Dec. 10 at 1 p.m. at M&T Bank Stadium.
