Ravens kicker Justin Tucker signs extension through 2027

It was reported last week that Pittsburgh Steelers placekicker Chris Boswell had put pen to paper on a new four-year, $20.5 million contract that includes $12.5 million guaranteed and that tied him with Justin Tucker of the Baltimore Ravens as the highest-paid placekickers in NFL history.

Tucker has now secured himself a new deal ahead of the upcoming regular season.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk, Tucker has signed a four-year extension through the 2027 season that is worth $24 million with $17.5 million of the agreement reportedly guaranteed.

Tucker turns 33 years old in November and had two years left on his previous contract. He's now locked down through what should be the remainder of his physical prime.

A five-time First-Team All-Pro, Tucker is widely regarded as the league's top overall kicker and, per Smith, holds the NFL record for career field goal success rate with 91.1 percent. Tucker's 66-yard walkoff field goal at the Detroit Lions last fall is the longest converted try in league history.

In total, Tucker converted 35-of-37 field goal tries last season. He also made all 32 of the extra points he attempted.
