Kyle Hamilton put on a show in the Baltimore Ravens’ road win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15. Hamilton, who entered the game dealing with a knee injury, featured in all 62 of Baltimore’s snaps on defense and tallied a team-high seven total tackles in the contest.
Hamilton touched base with the "Peacock Sunday Night Football Final" crew after the game. Former NFL safety and current NBC Sports analyst Rodney Harrison asked Hamilton if there was a player who he tried to "emulate" growing up. Without much hesitation, the second-year safety singled out Sean Taylor.
"My best friend Nick Jackson, he plays linebacker at Iowa, his dad is from D.C., huge Redskins, now Commanders fan," Hamilton said. "Sean Taylor, he introduced me to him when I was really young.
"Obviously, I didn't get to see a lot of him play because I was so young, and he passed away, but just watching his film, I'll just look up his YouTube highlights every once in a while, and not there yet."
Harrison cut off Hamilton to give him quite a compliment.
"Let me rewind this a little bit," Harrison said. "You remind me of a young Sean Taylor. Very physical, you fly around.
"The thing that Sean couldn't do, and Sean could move around a little bit, but he could not move around like you. You could literally play every position in the secondary."
Hamilton has emerged as a do-it-all player for the Ravens, and he sure is making a strong case to earn Pro Bowl and AP First-Team All-Pro honors this season.
