Ravens Pro Bowl QB returning to team in 2023

The Baltimore Ravens are getting their Pro Bowl quarterback back for next season -- Pro Bowler Tyler "Snoop" Huntley that is.

While Lamar Jackson's whereabouts for the fall remains anybody's guess, his backup is returning to the AFC North club for another go around.

Undrafted out of the University of Utah, Huntley appeared in just two games as a rookie in 2020, before playing in a career-high seven games (making four starts) during the 2021 campaign when Jackson missed time. The 25-year-old recorded a 64.9% completion percentage with 1,081 passing yards, three touchdowns and four interceptions while adding 294 rushing yards and two scores on 47 carries.

Huntley was called on again in 2022 when Jackson suffered his sprained PCL in Week 13 and didn't play the rest of the season. In six games (four starts), Huntley went 75-for-112 for 658 passing yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions and the team had a quick exit in the playoffs.

Despite the pedestrian numbers, Huntley was named as a Pro Bowl replacement for Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen in January, making him one of the most bizarre selections in NFL history. His four starts and 112 pass attempts were the fewest for any Pro Bowl signal-caller since the AFL-NFL merger.

It might be a while longer before Jackson's fall destination is known, but for now, Ravens fans know they'll have at least one Pro Bowler under center in 2023.
