Ravens QB Lamar Jackson continued record-setting season in win over Vikings

It seems like a week of football can't go by without Lamar Jackson setting a new NFL record.

The 24-year-old signal-caller continued that trend in Week 9 as he set new league numbers in the Ravens' 34-31 overtime win over the Vikings.

Jackson had 21 carries for 120 rushing yards in the win, becoming the first QB to record twelve games with 100-plus yards on the ground. (Michael Vick previously held the record at 11 games.)

As previously stated, setting records has become a normal thing for the fourth-year quarterback. In a come-from-behind win over the Colts earlier in the season, Jackson became the first player in history to throw for 400 yards and four touchdowns while completing at least 85 percent of his passes. (He threw for a total of 442 yards with 86-percent accuracy as the Ravens overcame a 16-point deficit to win 31-25.)

It's no surprise then that Jackson is being viewed as an MVP candidate.

The Ravens, currently in first place in the AFC North, visit the Dolphins on Thursday night.
