Ravens QB Lamar Jackson 'has a chance' to play vs. Packers despite ankle sprain

Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman suggested Thursday that star quarterback Lamar Jackson could be a game-time decision for Sunday's pivotal matchup against the Green Bay Packers because of the sprained right ankle that kept him out of practice throughout the midweek. 

It seems backup Tyler Huntley is on track to start against the Packers, but head coach John Harbaugh wasn't ready to rule Jackson out when speaking with reporters Friday. 

"I'd say he has a chance [of playing Sunday]," Harbaugh said of the 2019 NFL Most Valuable Player, per Jamison Hensley of ESPN. "It's just one of those things where it's an ankle sprain where if he starts feeling good and we'll check him out prior to pregame ... and we'll see where we're at. But if not, we've got Tyler and he'll be ready to go also."

Huntley replaced the injured Jackson in last Sunday's loss at the Cleveland Browns and performed well, completing 27-of-38 passes for 270 yards and a touchdown in a hostile environment. Baltimore added veteran Josh Johnson off the practice squad of the New York Jets earlier this week, but that doesn't necessarily mean Harbaugh won't have three quarterbacks active against Green Bay. 

To date, Jackson hasn't missed the start of a meaningful NFL game because of injury. According to Hensley, Baltimore entered late Friday afternoon as a 6.5-point underdog to Green Bay.
