Ravens reportedly meeting with free-agent DE Rasheem Green

The Baltimore Ravens saw two-time Pro Bowler Za'Darius Smith back out of a reported four-year, $35 million deal last week and witnessed Smith choose his new team in the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday. Now, they're looking to put that fiasco behind them and are reportedly honing in on another potential defensive lineman.

The 2021 season was arguably Green's best of his four years in the NFL. In 17 games (16 starts), Green finished with career highs in tackles (48), quarterback hits (15), sacks (6.5), tackles for loss (six) and passes defended (four).

The 24-year-old led all Seattle players in quarterback hits last year and ranked tied for second with Darrell Taylor in sacks, trailing only Carlos Dunlap.

Green was selected by the Seahawks in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft and played in 10 games as a rookie, recording nine tackles and one sack. He posted 27 tackles, 4.0 sacks and the only three forced fumbles of his career in 2019 and registered 10 tackles and 2.0 sacks across 10 games in 2020.
