Ravens free safety Earl Thomas. Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The sleepy part of the NFL schedule will sometimes bring some negative headlines. That’s where we are at now following the draft and prior to the start of training camp.

Unfortunately, it appears Baltimore Ravens seven-time Pro Bowl safety Earl Thomas is the latest player to find himself in the news for the wrong reason.

Thomas took to Instagram Wednesday night to announce that TMZ Sports will be running a report Thursday morning indicating Thomas was involved in an altercation with his wife, Nina.

Thomas, who turns 32 on Thursday, noted that TMZ Sports allegedly has a copy of the police report. While Thomas did say this isn’t any business of the public, making the announcement clearly shows something happened.

There’s no other information regarding any details on what might have happened between Thomas and his wife.
