Ravens' Tavon Young out for season with torn ACL

One day after handfuls of NFL players suffered worrisome injuries, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh confirmed that nickelback Tavon Young will miss the remainder of the year with a torn ACL.

As ESPN explained, the 26-year-old went down with a left knee injury in the first quarter of Sunday's 33-16 win over the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium and never returned to the field. Harbaugh told reporters after the contest the team feared Young was facing a season-ending situation.

The news is yet another brutal blow for the fourth-round selection from the 2016 NFL Draft. Young missed the entire 2019 season after he suffered a serious neck injury in August, and he didn't play in 2017 because of a torn ACL that sidelined him in June of that year.

Young's contract runs through 2022, but the Ravens could save money by parting ways with him during the offseason.
