Ravens to welcome fans to 12 training camp practices

NFL teams are finalizing plans to welcome fans back to training camp sessions, preseason games, and regular-season contests despite growing concerns about COVID-19 variants.

On Tuesday, the Baltimore Ravens announced that they will open 12 free training camp practices up to roughly 1,000 fans per day at their facility in Owings Mills between July 28 and Aug. 16. Individuals must register online for a parking pass that admits one car's worth of people to a practice, and unvaccinated fans are urged to wear face coverings when they cannot remain socially distant from people outside of their household.

Additionally, the Ravens will hold a practice free and open to the public at M&T Bank Stadium on July 31. However, there will be no player autographs at any practices due to health and safety protocols agreed upon by the NFL and NFL Players Association.

"We are thrilled to welcome Ravens fans back to training camp," Ravens senior vice president of marketing Brad Downs said in the prepared statement. "We missed not having the energy of our fans at practice last year. Our upcoming training camp will be especially meaningful, knowing just how great it will be to reconnect with the Ravens Flock in person."

Earlier in the day, the Seattle Seahawks confirmed they intend to open Lumen Field to full capacity for games this season. The Seahawks said unvaccinated fans must wear approved masks inside the venue but did not explain how they will enforce that policy.
