Ravens, two-time Pro Bowl CB Kyle Fuller agree to one-year contract

The Baltimore Ravens are bringing home a native son and in doing so, continue to build up a revamped secondary.

Ravens.com staff writer Ryan Mink wrote that the move was a much needed one for Baltimore.

"Fuller, 30, helps round out a cornerback unit that needed more experience and depth after losing Anthony Averett and Tavon Young in free agency," Mink wrote. "In Baltimore, Fuller gives the Ravens more flexibility to either use him in the slot or bump (Marlon) Humphrey inside to where he has shined previously. Fuller is also valuable insurance with (Marcus) Peters and Humphrey coming back from season-ending injuries. Fuller has only missed one game in his seven-year career."

Fuller was selected by the Chicago Bears with the 14th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft and recorded 64 tackles, four interceptions and three forced fumbles as a rookie. Fuller made back-to-back Pro Bowls in 2018 and 2019 and was named First Team All-Pro in 2018.

That season, the Virginia Tech product led the league in passes defended (21) and tied for the NFL-high in interceptions with a career-best seven. Fuller posted a career-high 82 tackles in 2019, to go along with 12 passes defended and three interceptions.
