The Arizona Cardinals continue to add to their defense, by adding former New England Patriots breakout linebacker Mack Wilson to the front seven. Wilson and the Cardinals agreed to a 3 year deal worth up to $15 million, with $12.75 million guaranteed.

Arizona Cardinals Add Versatility With Wilson

After an up and down beginning of his career in Cleveland, Mack Wilson found new life in New England. A season ago Wilson had a profound impact when given the opportunity, posting 37 tackles and also recording 3.5 sacks. Wilson excelled in coverage posting an elite 86.9 grade, per PFF player grades. The Cardinals linebacking group struggled with injuries last year, adding Wilson will help solve their depth issues.

It will be interesting to see where Mack Wilson will line up for the Cardinals. A season ago Wilson played both off ball linebacker and as an edge attached to the line of scrimmage. Wilson can also be expected to run onto the field with the special teams unit, like he did in New England.
