Chad Kelly may finally get a shot to show the Denver Broncos what he can do.

The Broncos are 3-4 and are not in the same class as the Kansas City Chiefs or LA Chargers within their division. Free agent signing Case Keenum has been a bust at quarterback, so the Broncos may give Kelly a chance to show what he can do, according to a report.

CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora reports that the Broncos intend to give Kelly a look at some point in the second half of the season. Denver still has not found the answer at quarterback since Peyton Manning retired. As they consider drafting one next year, they will want to know what they have in Kelly first.

Kelly, the Mr. Irrelevant from 2017, missed all of last year due to wrist surgery. He looked good in the preseason and surpassed Paxton Lynch on the depth chart, leading to Lynch being cut.

Kelly was kicked off the team at Clemson, then went to a JC, and he ended up at Ole Miss where he had two strong seasons. He was not invited to the NFL combine due to off-field issues.
