Report: Broncos not interested in trading WRs

Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton, will they stay, or will they go?

Although previous reports stated both Denver wideouts were possibly on the trade block, it appears the organization changed plans.

According to longtime Broncos reporter Mike Klis, they're not interested in moving Jeudy or Sutton despite fielding calls from several teams. They believe each could excel under new HC Sean Payton.

Perhaps Denver needed to receive the compensation it wanted. Per The Athletic's Jeff Howe, the asking price for Jeudy was a first-round pick, too high for the 23-year-old wideout.

Or it realized Jeudy and Sutton weren't the problems with the offense last season.

In 2022, Sutton, a former Pro Bowler, had 64 receptions for 829 receiving yards -- second most in his career -- in 15 games.

Jeudy set career highs in receptions (67) and receiving yards (972). He also played at an elite level during the season's final six games, becoming one of six players to record 35 catches for 500-plus yards and three or more TDs, per the Athletic's Nick Kosmider.

Denver finished 15th in receiving yards. Not bad, considering awful QB play held the group back. Russell Wilson posted a career-low 36.7 QBR, 27th among starting QBs.

Payton, an offensive mastermind, can solve problems but needs the right components to accomplish the task. Therefore, keeping young, promising wideouts is smart because he can enhance their games and salvage the offense.
