Browns general manager Andrew Berry vowed in the aftermath of announcing star quarterback Deshaun Watson's season was over, that they'd be adding a third signal caller to the roster. That process is reportedly underway.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network's, Cleveland is hosting quarterback workouts in Berea Friday morning. Among the QBs in attendance, former Baltimore Raven and Super Bowl champion, Joe Flacco

At 38, Flacco is in the limelight of his career having bounced around between the Broncos and most recently the Jets after spending 11 seasons in Baltimore. Browns fans may recall all too well when Flacco led the Jets on a miraculous, 13-point comeback win with under two minutes to go in Week 2 last season. That was one of just five total games the veteran appeared in last year for New York, starting four of those. He finished 2022 110-of-191 passing, for 1,051 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions.

In his last season in Baltimore, Flacco played in nine games before suffering a hip injury that required surgery and cost him the remainder of that campaign. One year prior in 2017, turned out to be the last year Flacco played a full 16-game slate for any team.

It's unclear at this time what other quarterbacks are in Cleveland to work out for the team. Flacco would bring a veteran presence to the Browns quarterback room if signed. However, with him and most of the quarterbacks available on the open market right now, Cleveland is likely hoping to just catch lightening in a bottle.

They're hoping for the same with rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who the team announced would start against the Steelers this weekend. The fifth-round pick struggled in his first start this year against the Ravens back in Week 4, completing 19-of-36 passes for only 121 yards and three picks.

With a full week of preparation centered around DTR though, Kevin Stefanski and company believe he's made solid progress from that first time out.
