Report: Buccaneers haven't closed door on Leonard Fournette, Antonio Brown returning

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have retained most of their top free agents so far this offseason. However, running back Leonard Fournette and wide receiver Antonio Brown still remain unsigned.

According to ESPN's Jenna Laine, the Buccaneers haven't closed the door on both of those players returning in 2021 and are continuing to communicate with their representatives.

Both Fournette and Brown played significant roles in the Buccaneers' Super Bowl run last season.

Fournette took over as Tampa Bay's top running back in Week 14, and the Buccaneers went 7-0 with him in the starting lineup. In four playoff games, the 26-year-old totaled 448 yards and four touchdowns from scrimmage, including 135 total yards and a score in Tampa Bay's 31-9 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV.

Brown signed with the Buccaneers midway through the 2020 campaign. In eight regular-season games, he caught 45 passes for 483 yards and four touchdowns. In three playoff games, he had eight catches for 81 yards and two touchdowns, including a score in the Super Bowl to give the Bucs a 21-6 lead at halftime.

Fournette and Brown are drawing interest from several teams, so the Bucs will have to make both players competitive offers if they hope to keep them around for 2021.

Tampa Bay has already re-signed Rob Gronkowski, Shaquil Barrett, Lavonte David, Ndamukong Suh, Donovan Smith, Kevin Minter and Ryan Succop. Tom Brady restructured his deal in order to give the Bucs more cap space to retain all of these players.
