Colin Kaepernick is set to enter the NFL world once again this week. The controversial quarterback has been in the headlines for trying to get back into the NFL the previous few weeks.

Kaepernick penned a letter to New York Jets asking them to take him on as a practice squad quarterback after Aaron Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury in Week 1. Reports have come out that the CFL and XFL want to sign Kaepernick to a team in one of their leagues.

Kaepernick has turned down the XFL and CFL offers. Those leagues don’t offer Kaepernick the same salary that an NFL team would for the quarterback to risk injury.

But he’s getting reconnected to the NFL on Tuesday.

Playground Sports is releasing the arcade-style football video game Wild Card Sports on Tuesday. The game will feature many prominent NFL quarterbacks. Per the Playground Sports trailer, Kaepernick will be in the video game.

According to Adam Wells with Bleacher Report, the Wild Card Football release will be the first time Kaepernick has been featured in a video game since he was in Madden 22. The NFL Players Association officially licenses the video game.

Kaepernick will be reunited with the NFL world, even if it’s just digital–for now. We’ll see if Kaepernick can fight back to being on a physical NFL team this season.
