Former Denver Broncos  cornerback Ronald Darby could soon have a new NFL home. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Darby worked out for the Houston Texans on Friday.

"Veteran FA CB Ronald Darby is working out for the Broncos today, source said. Darby, who played for the Broncos the last two seasons, is recovering nicely from a torn ACL last season and would be a solid potential pre-camp addition," Rapoport tweeted on Friday.

Darby has languished on the free-agent market all offseason. Joining the Broncos in 2021 on a three-year, $30 million deal, the veteran corner didn't play out his contract, due to injury issues.

Darby started 11 games in 2021, missing five due to injuries. A torn ACL in Week 5 ended his 2022 campaign, and the Broncos released him in March.

Originally a Buffalo Bills second-round pick in 2015, Darby went on to join the Philadelphia Eagles, where he contributed to the team's victory in Super Bowl LII. He had a one-year stint with Washington before joining the Broncos.

When he's on the field, Darby is an impactful corner. He's got speed and sticky coverage ability. But you know what they say; you can't make the club from the tub.

It'll be interesting to see how well Darby has healed up from his ACL. Hopefully, he lands on his feet. Maybe it's with the Texans.
