Report: HOF WR hit by car following pickup basketball argument

Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Owens was reportedly hit by a car Monday night following an argument during a pickup basketball game, according to TMZ Sports.

The TMZ Sports report said that, according to police, Owens "got into a tiff with someone during a pickup basketball game earlier in the evening."

Per the report, the former wide receiver was playing basketball in the Calabasas, Calif. area when he "apparently got into an argument with someone else on the court."

TMZ Sports wrote that after the game, the man who was apparently fighting with Owens got into a car and "drove the vehicle right into" Owens' knee. The report added that, according to police, Owens didn't require medical attention.

Furthermore, law enforcement officers took a report for assault with a deadly weapon, though "no arrests have been made" and an investigation "remains ongoing."

One of the most talented pass catchers in league history, "T.O." was also arguably the face of a large group of wide receiver divas during the 1990s and 2000s.

Despite scandal after scandal, Owens crafted one of the best careers in San Francisco 49ers history from 1996-2003, making four consecutive Pro Bowls to end his tenure in the Bay Area and earning three First-Team All-Pro honors as well. Owens also had huge seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles (2004-05) and Dallas Cowboys (2006-08), before wrapping up his playing days with the Buffalo Bills (2009) and Cincinnati Bengals (2010).

The now-49-year-old was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018.
