Per WFAA, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is under investigation for an alleged assault that occurred in a Dallas club on Monday. The report surfaced weeks after Rice was involved in a high-speed crash that injured multiple people in late March.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice was booked into a jail last month

Per GH Media files, rice was booked at the DeSoto Jail in April and faces eight felony charges related to the high-speed crash:

The rookie standout faces eight felony charges after causing a two weeks ago in which Rice fled the scene. Updates continue to make things worse for Rice, with reports surfacing on Friday that the SMU product was driving 119 miles per hour before the accident took place. 

Rice on Thursday, and they took him to DeSoto jail. He posted bail, where he will now await the remainder of his legal process and potential discipline from the league office and his employer, the Kansas City Chiefs, per Josina Anderson.

There is also a civil lawsuit connected to the crash.

The Chiefs expected Rice to be suspended for part of the upcoming regular season in relation to the high-speed crash. There could potentially be more for the league and Chiefs to consider.

Dallas police are investigating an incident at a club

Per WFAA, Dallas police are investigating Rice for an incident that allegedly occurred at a nightclub:

Kansas City Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice is under investigation for allegedly hitting a photographer at a club in Dallas early Monday, police sources say.

Dallas police sources say officers are interviewing witnesses about the incident that allegedly happened Monday at 609 N. Harwood Street, which is the address of Lit Kitchen.

Rice was the Chiefs’ best receiver on the 2023 team. They’ve since added Marquise Brown in free agency and Xavier Worthy via the draft. On Tuesday, they signed wide receiver Jaaron Hayek after a strong showing at rookie minicamp.
