Report: Packers GM Brian Gutekunst still 'will not' trade Aaron Rodgers

The Green Bay Packers are not budging on Aaron Rodgers.

According to The Athletic's Matt Schneidman , Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst is holding firm that he still "will not" trade the reigning MVP.

Rodgers reportedly wants out of Green Bay and will consider holding out or retiring if he's not traded ahead of the 2021 campaign.

The 37-year-old recently opened up about his feelings during an interview with Kenny Mayne on "SportsCenter." He wouldn't answer whether or not he has demanded a trade but implied his unhappiness with the franchise lies with the front office.

Rodgers is reportedly unhappy that Gutekunst moved up in the 2020 draft to select his potential successor, Jordan Love. Things reportedly worsened when the Packers opted to release wide receiver Jake Kumerow last September.

The three-time All-Pro is reportedly adamant about not returning to Green Bay unless Gutekunst is fired. He also reportedly mocked the general manager in group text messages with his Packers teammates.

Rodgers was not at the Packers' OTAs last week and reportedly does not plan to attend the workouts. His failure to report is another sign that he wants to move on from Green Bay this summer.
