New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Alvin Kamara was taken into custody on Sunday over an alleged incident that occurred at a nightclub the day before. The New Orleans Saints star played in the Pro Bowl, and apparently police were waiting for him when the game ended.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department issued a press release on Sunday explaining the situation with Kamara. According to the release, the running back was accused of battery by a man who was admitted to the hospital. The incident took place at 3500 South Las Vegas Blvd., which is near Caesars Palace.

On Monday, TMZ executive producer Michael Babcock learned that the arrest happened at Allegiant Stadium, where the Pro Bowl was held.

It’s unclear if anyone was around to witness Kamara being taken into custody.

Kamara is facing one count of battery resulting in substantial bodily harm. The victim told police that the incident took place at a nightclub on Saturday night.

Kamara, 26, just completed his fifth season in the NFL. He has made the Pro Bowl in all five seasons.
