Report: Raiders trade rookie Lynn Bowden Jr. to Dolphins

The Las Vegas Raiders selected Lynn Bowden Jr. in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, but he won't be making his league debut with the team.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Raiders are sending Bowden Jr. and a sixth-round pick to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a fourth-round pick. The fourth-round pick is the same one the Raiders sent to the Dolphins in exchange for linebacker Raekwon McMillan last week.

Bowden Jr. finished his time with Kentucky as the school's starting quarterback, but was a wide receiver and returner before that. He was set to play running back with the Raiders, though it's unclear where he'll slot into the Miami lineup.

Jordan Howard and Matt Breida are the Dolphins' top running backs currently, so slotting Bowden Jr. into that mix isn't necessarily a bad idea, though maybe the team will give him some reps at wide receiver.
