Report: Rams request to interview LSU passing game coordinator Cortez Hankton for OC position

The Los Angeles Rams remain steadfast in their search for their next offensive coordinator.

Just hours after it was reported they would be interviewing Atlanta Falcons quarterbacks coach Charles London for the vacancy, another name popped up.

Following his days playing for Texas Southern, Hankton played 46 games over four seasons for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2003 to 2006. He recorded 34 receptions on 67 targets for 310 yards and two touchdowns.

Hankton closed his playing days on the Minnesota Vikings practice squad in 2007 and on injured reserve with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2008, before playing in the United Football League from 2009 to 2011. His first coaching gig was the wide receivers coach with Dartmouth from 2012 to 2014, and then he held the same role with Vanderbilt from 2015 to 2017.

The 41-year-old was with Georgia from 2018 to 2021, first as the Bulldogs' wide receivers coach and then as their passing game coordinator and wideout coach for two years. Hankton was brought in by the Tigers last month.
