Report: Saints' Michael Thomas targeting Week 4 return vs. Lions

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas already has been ruled out for the team's Week 3 matchup against the Green Bay Packers, but that doesn't mean he won't be ready for Week 4.

Thomas reportedly is targeting a return to the field during Week 4 against the Detroit Lions, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.  Although the 27-year-old won't play against the Packers, Schefter reports that he was "moving really well" at Friday's workout.

With Thomas out last week, the 1-1 Saints struggled offensively. If they have any hopes of bettering their record this week, they'll have to rely more heavily on Emmanuel Sanders.

Thomas suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Saints' 34-23 Week 1 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He limped off the field just before the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter after having his leg rolled into by Latavius Murray.
