Report: Seahawks considering Doug Pederson for OC job
It appears Doug Pederson could have another job in the NFL sooner rather than later.
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Seattle Seahawks have discussed their vacant offensive coordinator position with the former Philadelphia Eagles head coach.
Philadelphia fired Pederson on Monday after five seasons. Reports earlier this week stated that Pederson might take time off from coaching, but Pelissero adds that he could draw interest for other head-coaching vacancies.
Pederson's offense ranked 25th this season after battling several injuries and inconsistencies at quarterback with Carson Wentz and Jalen Hurts. However, the 52-year-old coached an offense from 2017-19 that ranked in the top half of the league.
Former Los Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn has also been in contact with the Seahawks about their offensive coordinator opening and is expected to be among the top candidates for the job.
Seattle fired Brian Schottenheimer after a disappointing 30-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the wild-card round.
