Report: Steelers expected to promote Matt Canada to offensive coordinator

The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the market for a new offensive coordinator. However, it appears they have found their man.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Steelers are expected to promote quarterbacks coach Matt Canada to offensive coordinator for the 2021 season.

Canada also interviewed for the Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator position. It's unclear where he stands in that race.

The Steelers fired offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner this week. Canada was in his first season as quarterbacks coach in 2020, and it appears Mike Tomlin thinks he did a solid job coaching Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph.
