The Kansas City Chiefs and receiver Tyreek Hill reportedly are working on a contract extension.
Hill is set to make around $18 million this season in the final season of a three-year, $54 million deal. He and the Chiefs are working on a contract extension, Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson reports. Wilson says Hill’s contract could be for four years and worth around $85 million with more than half of it guaranteed.
The Chiefs don’t want to lose Hill for obvious reasons.
The 28-year-old receiver was drafted by Kansas City in 2016. He has posted four 1,000-yard seasons since then and made the Pro Bowl in each season.
A highly dynamic player with 68 career touchdowns, Hill appears to have plenty of strong years ahead. He and Travis Kelce form a valuable cornerstone to Kansas City’s successful passing offense.
The Chiefs are a Super Bowl threat with Patrick Mahomes, Hill and Kelce in the mix. They don’t want to jeopardize that.
