Report: Vikings finalizing four-year, $12M deal to make Browns exec Kwesi Adofo-Mensah next GM

The Minnesota Vikings parted ways with both head coach Mike Zimmer and general manager Rick Spielman earlier this month. On Wednesday, the organization reportedly filled one of those spots.

NFL Network reporter Cameron Wolfe had further details on the contract.

The other finalist for the Vikings gig was former Kansas City Chiefs executive Ryan Poles, but Poles was hired by the Chicago Bears on Tuesday. Other candidates who were interviewed by Minnesota included Philadelphia Eagles vice president of football operations Catherine Raiche, as well as Champ Kelly of the Bears and Dave Ziegler of the New England Patriots.

Adofo-Mensah spent the last two seasons with the Browns and was with the San Francisco 49ers prior to that. The 40-year-old served as the Niners manager of football research and development from 2013 to 2016 and then was the team's director of football research and development from 2017 to 2019.
