Richard Sherman has been absent on Undisputed for more than a month. However, the former Seattle Seahawks cornerback has promised a swift return on the FOX Sports 1 show.

Sherman is one of the regular faces that Skip Bayless brought in after Shannon Sharpe left to join ESPN. Despite the past animosity between him and the veteran analyst, Sherman decided to take up his offer alongside Keyshawn Johnson and Michael Irvin.

Despite their collective efforts, Undisputed never managed to reach the same heights as when Sharpe and Bayless held their fiery talks. Yet it wasn’t too bad until Sherman got arrested in February. Since then, the FS1 sports show has been going through one of its worst phases in the network’s history, while Sharpe has rejuvenated Get Up.

Even amidst all of these, Sherman once again returned to being active on social media. He shared a post complaining about fans calling all-pro-caliber football players washed. However, completely unrelated to the topic, one of his followers asked him when he was coming back to Undisputed.

I will be back. This was the plan all along. When football topics are getting hotter, I will be back. Richard Sherman replied on X (formerly Twitter)

Richard Sherman backed Bobby Wagner’s move to Commanders

Outside of his FOX job, Sherman also hosts his own podcast on the Verizon platform. During his first video since his return, the 35-year-old defended his former Seattle teammate, linebacker Bobby Wagner’s  decision to sign with the Washington Commanders.

Wagner spent a decade in Seattle before a brief stint with the Los Angeles Rams. Then he re-signed with the Seahawks after his contract ran out. Sherman argued that the franchise should have kept Wagner because of his longtime service to the team. He pointed out that fans always question players’ ‘loyalty’ to the team, but never the other way around.

Bobby Wagner in Seattle should never leave Seattle. They made the mistake the first time and should never leave it again. John Schneider knows that; we've had the conversation that you are not signing him. He's not asking for a ton of money. You don't let him leave the building again. You owe him that. And people say 'Loyalty' but you only hear the word 'loyalty on the franchise's behalf. Richard Sherman ranted

Upon his return to the Seattle Seahawks, Wagner signed a one-year, $7 million deal. He racked up a career-high 183 tackles. But the Seahawks did not wish to meet his demands a second time around, and he agreed to a $8.5 million deal with the Commanders.
