Despite playing in just two games in 2020, Richie Incognito is fired up for 2021. The new leader of the Las Vegas Raiders offensive line had many things to say regarding the team’s future.

As anyone who follows Incognito’s social media pages knows, he truly loves being a Raider. This gratitude is expressed often in his press conferences, he recently echoed that sentiment by saying, ‘I feel like I’ve taken the long road to finally come home and be a Raider. It just feels so right for me.’ Certainly, Incognito is a throwback to the old days. He plays with a fierce energy that would fit right in with John Madden’s Raiders of the ’70s. Thankfully for Las Vegas, he is present for the team in 2021.
Being present at all is big after he missed all but two games in 2020. Despite this, Incognito feels the pressure to win now after last season’s collapse. ‘We had two hot starts in 2019 and 2020 and I think it’s time for us to put it all together and really make a deep run into December and January.’ While most Raiders fans simply want to make the playoffs, Richie has his sights set on much bigger goals.

Always looking to improve
Although he did not play in many games, Incognito noticed the Raiders’ red-zone struggles. Always one to speak his mind, he had this to say about how they can be better, ‘Get some creative looks, get some quarterback-driven runs, and maybe get Marcus in the game…we’ll be better at scoring in the red zone.’
If the Raiders and Incognito follow through with this promise, they’ll go from a fun offense to watch, to a truly lethal one. Only time will tell how the Raiders season will play out, but having a healthy Incognito will make life a lot easier for everyone in Silver and Black.
